The original plan was to eat in a grill restaurant on a chill weekend but arriving in the place, I changed my mind. Haha! Maybe I was just so hungry thus couldn’t afford to wait too long for the cooking. I wasn’t also in the mood to get soaked in cloud of smoke as the grilling sesh is right on the dining table. Fhabs somehow felt the same so we looked for another place and found this native spot along Greenfields Square.
Splash & Sizzles Binalot Restaurant is an average dining restaurant serving Filipino specialties. I’m not sure if other branches have native interior touch but Greenfields branch defines the well-loved Pinoy feels. The fast service and food presentation are bonus points. Coining its name from a Filipino word which means “wrapped”, Binalot meals are draped in banana leaf – a traditional dining practice.BINALOT MEALS BEST SELLER– LIEMPO (P99). Steaming hot rice wrapped in banana leaf all served with talong, kamatis, itlog na maalat.ENSALADANG PAKO (P149).To complete the overflowing goodness, we ate with bare hands and oh, their version of Ensaladang Pako was the best one we’ve had so far. Truly, nothing beats Pinoy classic fave and here’s a new favorite place when we crave. A much needed break from fast food routines and Western cuisines. Yum!
