Greetings from The Lion City! Singapore marks my first solo travel and I’m truly grateful of the entire experience – all glory to God! Can’t wait to share with you my travel diaries in the coming days/weeks and here’s a snippet from the trip for now. Enjoy the rest of the week!
Disclaimer: I’m neither a hiking expert nor a full-fledged mountaineer. I just love a different level of sightseeing and nature trip so it’s always been my goal to trek at least 1-2 mountains each year. And guess what? I’ve also gone through some hiking mishaps – whether it be my clothing or stuff. But at the end of the day, what matters is being able to reach the goal and enjoy the whole journey.
Would you believe that Subic was once my dream destination? Even Philippines’ top spots weren’t a big deal for me then, only Subic and Paris. Imagine my first visit in the town to celebrate my 22nd birthday on February 22, 2015 – it’s totally a dream come true! Now, you’re convinced why #22 means a lot. 🙂
It’s been ages since my tough hike which was at Miyamit Falls in 2015. Oh I could still feel the cramps and body pain. Haha! Joining a dayhike to Mt. Daraitan in Tanay, Rizal last month made me feel so ecstatic at the same time a bit pressured. How can’t I? I’d be with a bunch of expert hikers!
By traveling frequently, I tend to learn how to be a smart packer and know the essentials with some ‘wants’ in between. Adding a portion of style, I choose accents that are not only limited to make everything look pretty but also come in handy when adventure kicks in. I don’t also easily give in to expensive buys just to meet my travel needs as there are items that are of high quality yet not costly.
