LA UNION | Beach and Waterfalls for Summer

With its beautiful resorts, giant waves, hip restos and chill atmosphere, La Union has been a go-to destination for every summer lover so this was our next stop after our Zambales trip and Puning tour. We went here last October for Fhabs’ post-birthday celebration and came back for a summer escapade.

Since we’re satisfied with Bali Hai Beach Resort on our first trip, we had no second thoughts to book a room with them again. I was impressed by their prompt response in email regarding our reservation confirmation and we’re set. We’re expecting to have the same good service but it turned out otherwise. Here are a few things we experienced which eventually made us decided not to stay at Bali Hai again. ☹

  • We arrived early so we stayed in a cabana while waiting for the check-in time. It’s already 2PM but we’re told the room wasn’t still available since the previous guests checked out late.
  • We got to check-in past 2:15PM after doing constant follow-ups.
  • Rooms need improvement.
  • Complimentary breakfast is no longer included.

Looking at the sunny side, we’re so happy to hit Urbiztondo beach again! Aaaaah memories flashed back! The cool water and the sound of the waves were the best way to cap off our first day. LU sunset never fails to amaze!

Part of our agenda is Tangadan Falls chasing – this was planned way back our first trip but we weren’t able to pursue it because someone told us that Tangadan is no longer open for public and much to our surprise, tourists still flock this attraction with photos flooding our feed! Kaya wala ng makakapigil samin this time!We got up early the next day to resume with our trek and thank God, we made it! Separate post on this soon! 😊
