One of the highlights of our Ilocos trip – seeing and staying in such a gorgeous beach in the heart of Pagudpud! We almost got lost along the way as the road was tricky and signs were confusing but thanked God, we made it. Reaching the place around 5 o’clock in the afternoon, we wasted no time and looked for an accommodation. Most beachfront hotels were fully booked so we’re a bit disheartened, but thanked God (again), Pagudpud Rinnovati Beach Resort welcomed us with open arms.
Next to Kapurpurawan Rock Formation was a quick visit to Bangui Wind Farm. I think this is one of the famous spots in Ilocos and now I know why it continues to capture the hearts of many. It’s indeed a sight to behold! Seeing the gigantic windmills lined up from left to right corner facing the sea blew my mind and my hair (literally). Haha!
The second day of FnJ anniversary trip was jam-packed as we traveled to Pagudpud and had few stops to some attractions. We left Vigan in the morning and assumed that by lunchtime we would reach Pagudpud but boy, we’re wrong. We quite underestimated the travel time and even we’re guided by Waze app, the endless road construction was unexpected.
Up to this moment, Fhabs and I are still ecstatic of what we had for anniversary celebration (2nd anniv trip here). We traveled the uttermost Northern part of Philippines and boy, it’s 12-hr long drive! We made it and I couldn’t have been more grateful to Fhabs’ enthusiasm, patience and excellent driving skills and of course, our dearest Rain (car). God is so good for always letting us explore and relish all these beautiful creations.
