ZAMBALES | Lindamar By The Sea

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetYuletide season is approaching and the chilly air makes me momentarily forget the tropical weather in our country. Getting up early and taking shower in the morning to prepare for work seem unbearable due to the freezing atmosphere. While the cold water is one of my weaknesses for now, I still didn’t hesitate to join Fhabs’ family as they invited me for a beach day last November.

Taking Porac-SCTEX route, it took us more than 3 hours [with short stopover at Subic] to reach Lindamar By The Sea Resort at Iba, Zambales. We did not avail of the main amenities of the resort and stayed in a normal cottage along the beach.  I’ve been to some beaches but this place is highly recommended. The crystal blue water swept me off my feet. Though the weather was cold, the bright sunshine struck in a perfect balance. No unwanted debris can be seen on the water.2Aside from soaking myself under the sun (I can’t swim LOL), we also had a boat ride insisted by Manong (boat’s operator) and gave us a huge discount amounting to P30/head (P150/head original price). We sailed through the heart of the sea to check out some coral reefs. As we positioned ourselves on the water wearing our goggles, we got to see some greenish and brownish corals and make sure not to land barefooted for some of them are sharp and rocky.Processed with VSCOcam with g3 preset671We left at 3PM and weren’t able to capture the sunset yet my admiration on this beach wouldn’t be complete without some shell seeking. Such a lovely way to welcome the Holiday vibes! 🙂

*Lindamar By The Sea Resort is located at Govic Highway, Barrio Santa Rita, Barangay Bangantalinga, Iba, Zambales
